The overall goal of this project is to develop proper guidelines to calculate the PMP for different durations as well as to provide generalize PMP maps for various combination of areas and durations for the whole of Malaysia using rainfall records of the country. These PMP estimates will be useful for designing of new dams as well as in re-evaluating the spillway design capacities of the existing dams in the country.
