Proceeding of Research Presentations (Marine)
The research presented in this collection of presentations is mainly concerned with determining the extent of impact from sea level rise to the existing land uses and identifying settlements and urban infrastructure that will be affected. Although risks cannot be entirely eliminated, disaster risk management and adaptation to climate change are crucial to reducing exposure and vulnerability, and increasing resilience to the potential adverse impacts of climate extremes. Furthermore, adaptation and mitigation will complement each other hence reducing the risks of climate change significantly.
