NAHRIM River Gross Pollutant Trap
NAHRIM River Gross Pollutant Trap (NR-GPT) is an outstanding idea of innovation by River Basin Research Centre, National Hydraulic Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM) as a solution for water pollution problem in Malaysia and produce a product that has a significant potential as a trapper for contaminated river basin. NR-GTP consists of two sections, which are debris trapper and oil trapper. This hybrid trapper emphasis on floatable waste either in solid or in liquid state and capable in increasing raw water quality. Debris trapper is capable in reducing the quantity of floatable rubbish on the water surface and oil trapper is capable in eliminating oil from water bodies.
