FUNCTION To develop a multipurpose ‘habitable kit’ as a shelter during flooding season at flood prone area. SPECIFICATION ¢ It can accommodate a weight capacity of at least 100-120 people using modular. ¢ The size of each modular structure is 2.2m x 4.2m with maximum of seven (7) persons in each modular. ¢ Live load allowable is 1.5 KN/m2 d meter square in superscript. ¢ Maximum water displacement allowed value is 600mm from the ground level. ¢ Minimum Flood height required to float the system is 200mm from the existing ground level. ¢ It is best used when the water reaches a depth of 1.65m and above. ¢ It is equipped with a clean water supply system, electricity and cooking supplies and has areas suitable for common use, such as kitchens, bathrooms and toilets.
