Groundwater represents an alternative and reliable supply of good and clean water for daily uses. At times of difficulty in obtaining surface and expensive piped water, groundwater can be used as an alternative source. With the uncertainty and unreliability in obtaining piped water due to various reasons, groundwater has gained in importance in domestic, agricultural and industrial usage. National Hydraulic Research Institute of Malaysia was appointed by TARH to carry out drilling works and construct one (1) units of tube wells and pumping tests at Desaru Coast, Bandar Penawar, Kota Tinggi, Johor for the alternative water supply.
