KAJIAN POTENSI SUMBER AIR BAHARU DIKAWASAN MUDA
In Malaysia, despite this apparent abundance of rainfall averaging 3,000 mm annually, the supply is not evenly distributed, neither spatially nor temporally. Different parts of the country, such as Perlis and the northern part of Kedah, experience extended dry seasons every year as part of the natural weather cycle. These areas exhibit climatic characteristics like that of southern Thailand which has a distinct dry spell. Drought has a longer onset period, but its effects are longer and can be devastating. Recognizing the threats and challenges faced by the country’s freshwater ecosystems, the Lembaga Kemajuan Pertanian Muda (MADA) has appointed National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM) via the Surat Cadangan Bagi Perkhidmatan Perunding ref: MADA (LTBKS)/BPPS/1/2021 dated 18 May 2021 to conduct the detailed study for Kajian Potensi Sumber Air Baharu di Kawasan Muda.
