NORTHEAST MONSOON 2022 IN THE EAST COAST OF PENINSULAR MALAYSIA - HYDROLOGIC ANALYSIS AND ASSESSMENT REPORT

The Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change (NRECC) through the National Hydraulic Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM) has conducted a study on the floods that hit the East Coast states of Peninsular Malaysia, namely Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang in December 2022. During a brief meeting to prepare for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program following the floods in the East Coast states, NAHRIM was directed to compile and analyse hydrological and meteorological data from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia (JPS) and the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia) for the Northeast Monsoon season that is estimated to end until March 2023.
